FAQ’s

1) How do I find out about upcoming events?

The easiest way to be kept up to date on upcoming NAA events is to follow us on social media, especially Facebook, sign up for our mailing list, or on our website. We post all events on our page and share them to our community page, too.

2) How can I get involved with NAA?

Easy! Show up to one of our events, shoot us a message via Facebook or info@nashvilleanimaladvocacy.com and we can tell you about future protests, tabling, or other efforts for animal advocacy.

3) I found an animal who needs help — what can I do?

This can be a tricky case-by-case situation. For all wildlife, please contact Walden’s Puddle as rehabilitating and releasing our wild friends is their forte. Or try Animal Help Now. For domestic animals, it will depend on the situation. Many of these require certain legal steps and it is hard to answer with an all encompassing reply, as we would need to address the needs of the animal in question specifically. Please contact info@nashvilleanimaladvocacy.com with the situation — or call 911 if it is an emergency.

4) Not all animal activists are vegan—why does NAA stress veganism for each event and cause?

While we understand many of our activists are coming on at different parts of their activism journey, we hope all of those advocating for animals will at least begin their transition to a vegan lifestyle and consuming, wearing, testing on, or exploiting animals is antithetical to the very change we are advocating for. As for vegan offerings at all of our events—it’s the only thing that makes sense. You wouldn’t stand outside Purity Dairy Farm fighting against the injustices happening to dairy cows, only to finish off the day with their meat or the very liquid you were protesting against in your food. If you need tips on leading a vegan lifestyle check out: HOW TO GO VEGAN.

5) I’m more of a behind-the-scenes activist. How can I get involved?

NAA support doesn’t only exist on the protest front or from hefty donations. You can now link your Amazon and Kroger purchases to NAA through Amazon Smile and by linking your Kroger card. We have also had a need for people to wear costumes, make signs, or certain administrative tasks. Contact us at info@nashvilleanimaladvocacy.com for more behind-the-scenes opportunities.
